Gourmet Nourish Bowl

IMG_4887.jpg

Prepare a delicious microgreens  based green nourish bowl.

Microgreens suggested are a base of green pea, red mustard, radish and coriander. (Option - add a small amount of finely chopped wild rocket for a peppery zing)

Simple to prepare - impressive to serve.

Spray bowl with coconut oil spray and grind black pepper as a base. Finely splash in criss cross pattern a little olive oil and  balsamic across the empty bowl onto the sides (This part is for visual  impact, to tantalise taste buds.)

Finely chop the sprouts and place in mound in centre of bowl - retaining a few for decoration.

Then add small chunky avocado pieces, chopped tomato, Sicilian olives, finely sliced red onions, carpaccio of daikon or cucumber. You can also add nuts and/or hemp seed, or seaweed for additional flavours.  Add a marinated fetta, roasted tofu (use sesame oil) or cashew cheese for extra texture and flavour.

Sprinkle remainder of microgreens across top and edge of bowl.

Dress lightly with virgin olive oil, balsamic, cracked black pepper and Himalayan sea salt.

We always recommend using only organic ingredients for better health and traditional flavours.

Simple protein bowl

IMG_4886.jpg

A nutritious, delicious yet very simple protein bowl dinner using your microgreens as the base.

Chop up two or three different microgreens - here I used snow pea, bulls blood and radish microgreens.

Add a little rocket, halved cherry tomatoes, chopped Lebanese cucumbers, sliced red onions, avocado, some pitted olives, pepitas and pine nuts.

Dress with a simple balsamic and olive oil and season with pepper and sea salt if desired.

Now just add your favourite protein - in this case I have used a not chicken protein grilled lightly in sesame oil and garlic.

You can add any protein but works extra well with light meats, or steamed salmon.

We always recommend using only organic ingredients for better health and traditional flavours.
